Awards season has started with a bang. On January 7, the great and the good of the acting world attended the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards, delivering a masterclass in red carpet dressing. From Helen Mirren in a head-turning purple coat to Selena Gomez looking red hot in a satin cut-out gown and Florence Pugh in a sheer crimson design, our favourite stars pulled out all the stops to attend the Beverly Hilton Hotel ceremony.

This year's Golden Globes ceremony, hosted by comedian Jo Koy, saw the top-nominated movie Barbie lose out in the major categories, while Oppenheimer secured wins for Best Motion Picture, Drama, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy, and Best Director for Christopher Nolan.

Emma Stone's star turn in Yorgos Lanthimos' Poor Things saw her take home the coveted Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical, and the film also earned the Best Motion Picture prize. Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper lost out in the best Drama actor categories while Paul Giamatti's performance in The Holdovers scored him the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.

In the realm of the small screen, Succession took home an impressive four trophies for its final season, followed by kitchen comedy-drama The Bear and the history-making Beef with three each.

Margot Robbie

Barbiecore is back! Margot Robbie was every inch the It-girl in a hot pink, sequinned Armani dress. Channeling 1977's Superstar Barbie, the Australian actress continued her press tour antics by embodying a past Mattel doll as she promoted the smash hit film, which lost out in all the major categories. The V-neck gown was peppered with reflective sequins and accessorised with a ruffled tulle boa.

Angela Bassett

Proving she never ages, Angela Bassett turned heads in a slinky off-the-shoulder gown. The Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress, 65, looked timeless in the long-sleeved number, adding a pair of dramatic drop earrings, a slick of scarlet lipstick, and styling her hair in bouncy waves. Angela joined Michelle Yeoh, Will Ferrell, Amanda Seyfried and George Lopez in presenting awards during this year's ceremony.

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence was a beguiling beauty in a draped velvet Dior gown that exposed her décolletage. Embodying quiet luxury, the Hunger Games star oozed effortless elegance in the simple, yet sophisticated gown, wearing her honeyed locks draped over one shoulder. 

Rosamund Pike

Channelling her Saltburn character Lady Elspeth, Rosamund Pike served up some serious drama on the red carpet. The 44-year-old star looked breathtaking in a strapless black dress with lace embroidery on the bodice and the most fabulous, funeral-worthy headpiece.

Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried dazzled in a Giorgio Armani gown adorned with a giant glittering bow to reunite on the Golden Globes red carpet with her Mamma Mia! co-star, Meryl Streep. The star sported sparkling Pomelato Nudo earrings and matching rings.

Andra Day

Andra Day's frothy tulle gown and mesh opera gloves were serving serious glamour on the red carpet. The American singer added glittering diamonds and a daring red manicure to complete her dramatic ensemble. 

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez stole the show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in her sumptuous dress from Giorgio Armani. The singer and actress, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical for her role in Only Murders in the Building, looked divine in the scarlet number, which boasted an asymmetrical full skirt and black crystal embroidered flowers on the bodice. Selena was dripping in Bulgari diamonds, rocking the High Jewelry earrings in white gold which she paired with a High Jewelry bracelet in platinum with 42 round brilliant cut diamonds and a High Jewelry Serpenti watch. To finish off the look, Selena wore multiple diamond rings from the Fiorever and Serpenti collections for her special night.

Helen Mirren

Helen Mirren looked incredible in a marvellous mauve look. The acting stalwart, 77, wowed in her pastel gown, which she teamed with a coordinating bubblegum pink-lined coat. Showcasing her eclectic taste in fashion, the talented actress added a pair of platform silver heels. 

Heidi Klum

Heidi Klum, 50, never fails to make an impact on the red carpet. The statuesque supermodel looked incredible in a ravishing red strapless gown, wearing her long blonde locks down in mermaid waves. A smoky eye and a dusting of golden bronzer completed her look.

Fantasia Barrino

The Colour Purple star Fantasia Barrino's enchanting corset dress embodied all the hallmarks of an Audrey Hepburn silhouette. With a fitted bodice, bejewelled drop waistline, tulle skirt and elegant opera gloves, the star looked mesmerising at the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards.

Gillian Anderson

Gillian Anderson made an impact in an ivory strapless gown by Gabriela Hearst, adorning herself with Chopard jewels, including an 18k white gold necklace. The Sex Education star, who has been vocal about female empowerment, revealed the dress was embroidered with symbols representing the female anatomy. "[I wore it] for so many reasons. It's brand appropriate," she told Deadline.

Dua Lipa

Proving she's truly the fashion queen of the pop princesses, Dua Lipa looked mesmerising in a Schiaparelli by Daniel Roseberry bustier gown. The singer, who was nominated for a Golden Globe thanks to her smash hit 'Dance the Night Away' from the Barbie movie, gave a nod to her mermaid character in the movie in her fishtail gown embellished with glittering gold bones. Styled by Lorenzo Posocco, Dua completed the gorgeous look with a vintage Tiffany & Co. necklace from the 1962 archives. Hair guru Emma Vickery, Percy & Reed's Art Director, says Dua's plum locks are the next big thing. "An elegant, rich deep red with some plum tones running through is perfect for winter," she tells HELLO!.

Jennifer Aniston

Keeping it timeless as ever, Jennifer Aniston proved simple is always best. The Friends actress, who has been lying low since the tragic death of her former co-star Matthew Perry, cut an elegant figure in a black column gown with a strapless, sweetheart neckline. Her honey blonde locks were styled in the classic 'Rachel' cut she made popular in the 90s.

Issa Rae

Issa Rae was a total ray of sunshine in a dazzling Pamella Roland dress in the most beautiful shade of gold. It's been a big year for the star, who had every reason to celebrate on the night as her films Barbie, American Fiction, Spider-Man: Ac ross the Spider-Verse were all nominated.

Taylor Swift put on a shimmering display in Gucci on the Golden Globes red carpet, wearing a figure-hugging, custom-made dress with delicate straps. Proving her Reputation era is just around the corner, the 'Anti-Hero' singer channelled a reptilian vibe in her serpent-inspired dress. She wore her blonde locks down loose and added a pop of red lipstick and glittering silver earrings. "This new heavy fringe, normally seen on a French Bob, looks really nice and suits her face shape," Emma Vickery, Percy & Reed's Art Director, comments.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez had a princess moment on the red carpet on Sunday night. The multi-hyphenate star looked beautiful in a bubblegum pink Nicole + Felicia gown featuring giant rose blooms on the sleeves. A bouncy, old Hollywood blow-dry completed her ultra feminine look as she showed her support for her husband Ben Affleck, whose film Air was nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.

Hailee Steinfeld

Proving Barbiecore is still going strong, Hailee Steinfeld opted for a pale pink Prada column dress with beading around the neckline, styled with long black gloves. Sweeping her brunette locks up into a chic chignon with face-framing bangs, the Pitch Perfect actress did her best Audrey Hepburn impression in the ravishing retro look. 

Julianne Moore

Julianne Moore looked beautiful as ever in a vibrant, red strapless gown. The 63-year-old actress, whose film May December was nominated, was a vision in the full-skirted number, which she accessorized with a silver necklace.

Oprah Winfrey certainly knows how to make an impact. The iconic chat show host commanded attention in a fitted purple gown with an abstract print and an asymmetric cut. Continuing to showcase her recent weight loss, the TV personality exuded confidence as she posed for the cameras. 

Timothée Chalamet

Cementing his status as one of Hollywood's most adventurous dressers, Timothée Chalamet exuded cool confidence as he strode down the red carpet. The Wonka actor walked the step and repeat solo while girlfriend Kylie Jenner slipped into the ceremony. All eyes were on the French-American star in his Celine attire featuring a sparkly shirt and slim-fit cigarette pants.

Carey Mulligan

Maestro star Carey Mulligan always looks impeccable, and Sunday night was no exception. The British actress, who was joined by her musician husband Marcus Mumford, looked beautiful in a black hourglass gown with dazzling silver detailing at the bust. Carey chose High Jewelry earrings by Bulgari in platinum with two pear diamonds which she paired with a High Jewelry ring in platinum with 1 emerald shape 14.65 carat diamond.

Barry Keoghan has come a long way. A total revelation in Emerald Fennell's black comedy Saltburn, the Irish actor proved he's a maven in the style stakes too by breaking the mold on the red carpet. Barry looked dapper in a bold checked suit and perfectly polished brogues, adding a ruby necklace and emo-inspired accessories. We love it!

Daisy Jones & The Six star Camila Morrone looked ethereal in a floaty white dress with a strapless cut and a matching stole draped loosely behind her. The gorgeous model and actress wore her long brunette hair down loose and opted for a smoky eye and a glossy lip. Perfection.

Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale stole the show in the most ethereal silver creation. The Pearl Harbour star's sheer design featured an elaborate tulle train, matching ruffle detailing at the neck and a tight-fitting, sparkling bodysuit. She went all out with her hair and makeup, styling her highlighted tresses in a glamorous updo and enhancing her beautiful features with a glowing beauty blend.

Florence Pugh

Florence Pugh always causes a stir with her choice of red carpet attire, and the British star certainly lived up to expectations on Sunday. Turning to Valentino as per, the Oppenheimer star rocked a sheer scarlet gown covered in floral appliqués. Adding to her edgy look, Miss Flo styled her quiff in gravity-defying waves and modelled a glittering silver necklace and a nose ring. Emma Vickery, Percy & Reed's Art Director, thinks Florence's newly lightened locks perfected the look. "An amazing Scandi blonde, the style sits so naturally against her complexion," she says. 

Hunter Schafer

Talk about making an impact! The wind was working in Hunter Schafer's favour as the Euphoria star graced the red carpet. Her translucent, dream-like Prada dress was embellished with delicate gauze strips. The Ballad of Snakes and Songbirds star scraped her icy blonde locks into a tight bun and accessorised with coordinating pastel pumps.

Ayo Edbiri

The Bear newcomer Ayo Edbiri secured her first Golden Globe for performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Looking red hot in Prada, the actress celebrated in style in her crimson strapless gown with a floor-sweeping train.
